Research stay of Sedayet Mayaci, our doctoral researcher, at the University of Oxford

We are delighted to announce that the Chair of Public Law and Comparative Politics sees one of its funded doctoral researcher depart for a research stay at the prestigious University of Oxford.

Sedayet Mayaci was selected following a competitive process as part of the mobility programme of the Maison française d’Oxford, in partnership with the Institute of European and Comparative Law (IECL), to undertake a research stay at the University of Oxford from 1 April to 30 June 2026.

On this occasion, she will benefit from privileged access to the University’s documentary and scientific resources, while also being associated with the activities of the IECL.

This stay constitutes a decisive scientific contribution to her doctoral work. It will enable her to deepen her understanding of nationality law in the United Kingdom through access to specialised resources, while also fostering exchanges with specialists in comparative law and nationality law. Participation in seminars and integration into an international academic environment will likewise provide a particularly stimulating framework in which to test and refine her expertise. This exchange is part of the long-standing tradition of international openness of the Faculty of Law of Saint-Étienne, particularly its enduring interest in foreign legal systems and comparative law. The Chair is pleased to support one of its members in this way and to contribute to the scientific standing of Jean Monnet University.

To carry out her project, she benefits from the financial and institutional support of the Chair of Public Law and Comparative Politics, CERCRID, the Faculty of Law, and the doctoral school ED 492.
